FA Confirms Contract Extension

Gareth Southgate will remain as manager of the England men's national football team until after the 2024 European Championships, the Football Association (FA) has confirmed.

Southgate's Career with England

Southgate was appointed as England's manager in November 2016, replacing Sam Allardyce. Under his leadership, England reached the semi-finals of the 2018 FIFA World Cup and the final of the 2020 UEFA European Championships.

Despite England's disappointing performance in the 2022 FIFA World Cup, where they were eliminated in the quarter-finals, the FA has decided to extend Southgate's contract until 2024.
